Incentives

Solar is now an affordable for homeowners across America.

In effort to help reduce energy use and promote development of self generated solar energy, Federal and State Governments, along with Local Utilities are providing incentives through rebates and tax credits saving you as much as 75% or more in certain market areas.

The time is NOW for self generation.

Not only will your solar power system have a positive impact on the environment, but it is now more affordable than ever before.

Federal Residential Solar Investment Tax Credit:
On October 3, 2008, the President signed the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 into law.

This legislation contains a number of tax incentives — effective as of January 1, 2009; designed to encourage both individuals and businesses to make investments in solar energy.

Provisions Directly Benefitting YOU:

Residential Solar Investment Tax Credit (IR Code §25D).

The bill extends the 30% ITC for residential solar property for eight years through December 31, 2016. It also removes the cap on qualified solar electric property expenditures (previously $2,000), effective for property placed in service after December 31, 2008. The bill allows individual taxpayers to use the credit to offset AMT liability, and to carry unused credits forward to the next succeeding taxable year.

State Incentives and Additional Rebates:

In the current economy, there is a priority and mandate for state and local municipality support for the deployment of clean energy solutions; with available incentives to supplement the Federal rebate program. Lifeline Energy has developed a simple way to help you understand the additional incentives that are available in your individual state and local area. Our local Distribution partners are able to readily illustrate how these incentives apply to your personal situation.

Feed-in Tariffs and Utility Sponsored Incentives:

In special market areas, additional incentives and rebates may be available from your utility provider. A "feed in tariff" is an incentive structure designed to encourage the adoption of renewable energy sources such as solar; in which your local utility may be obligated to purchase any excess power at a premium price. In addition in certain areas your utility company will offer subsidies to offset cost of system ownership. A local Lifeline Energy Distribution partner can easily explain what programs may be available in your area.
